CONHECIMENTO DOS PROFISSIONAIS DE ENFERMAGEM SOBRE O MANEJO DA DOR EM IDOSOS NOS CUIDADOS PALIATIVOS.
O objetivo deste estudo foi descrever o conhecimento de enfermagem em relação ao manejo da dor em idosos nos cuidados paliativos no olhar da literatura científica. Desse modo, realizou-se a revisão integrativa da literatura científica entre os anos de 2017 a 2021 nos idiomas inglês, espanhol e português com os seguintes descritores: (knowledge) AND (nursing) AND (aged) AND (palliative care) AND (pain management) nas bases de dados CINAHL, Scopus, Web of Science, Embase e Science direct, com amostra 15 estudos. O estudo apresentou que os profissionais de enfermagem possuem deficiência no conhecimento em relação ao manejo da dor na paliação em idosos e a importância dos instrumentos de medição do conhecimento de enfermeiros. Portanto, evidenciou-se na literatura científica que os conhecimentos de enfermagem sobre o manejo da dor na paliação em idosos foi considerado inadequado, principalmente no manejo de sintomas e a carência de entendimento sobre o intuito da paliação.

Abstract:
The objective of this study was to describe nursing knowledge in relation to pain management in the elderly in palliative care from the perspective of the scientific literature. Thus, an integrative review of the scientific literature was carried out between the years 2017 and 2021 in English, Spanish and Portuguese with the following descriptors: (knowledge) AND (nursing) AND (aged) AND (palliative care) AND (pain management) in the CINAHL, Scopus, Web of Science, Embase and Sciencedirect databases, with a sample of 15 studies. The study showed that nursing professionals have a lack of knowledge in relation to pain management in palliation in the elderly and the importance of instruments for measuring nurses' knowledge. Therefore, it was evidenced in the scientific literature that nursing knowledge about pain management in palliation in the elderly was considered inadequate, especially in the management of symptoms and the lack of understanding about the purpose of palliation.
