CONHECIMENTO DOS ENFERMEIROS QUANTO À IDENTIFICAÇÃO E CLASSIFICAÇÃO DA LESÃO POR PRESSÃO
Objetivo: Avaliar o conhecimento dos enfermeiros atuantes em um Hospital Universitário, quanto à identificação e classificação da Lesão Por Pressão (LPP). Método: Estudo transversal, com abordagem quantitativa, realizado com enfermeiros assistenciais de um hospital de ensino do Paraná. A coleta de dados ocorreu através de questionário contendo características demográficas e laborais e conhecimento do profissional relacionadas à LPP. Considerou-se como variável dependente o conhecimento acerca da estratificação da LPP. Os dados foram analisados pelo teste qui-quadrado. Resultados: Investigou-se um total de 61 enfermeiros, com predomínio do sexo feminino (59,5%), na faixa etária entre 20 a 29 anos (64,7%), formados há mais de 1 ano (67,4%), pertencentes ao quadro assistencial da UTI adulto (58,3%) e enfermeiros nos mais diversos programas de residência em saúde (68,4%). A maioria referiu conhecer os meios para notificar (61,8%), realizou alguma notificação nos últimos 30 dias (64,9%), e destas notificações a maioria não respondeu quantas eram sobre as lesões de pele (54,8%). Ainda, grande parte não encontrou dificuldades para notificar (70,0%), acreditava ser necessário um treinamento prévio para realizar as notificações (60,3%), sentia-se apto para avaliar à LPP (97,3%) e julgava que a avaliação da LPP não era papel exclusivo do enfermeiro (71,0%). Em relação ao conhecimento acerca da estratificação da lesão a maioria (60,6%) apresentaram conhecimento total (100%), 16,4% tiveram 80% de acertos e 22,9% demonstraram menos de 80% de acertos, sendo estes associados ao tempo de formação e a aptidão para avaliar a LPP (p≤0,05). Conclusão: Existe um déficit no conhecimento dos enfermeiros quanto à identificação, avaliação e classificação da LPP. Evidenciando a necessidade de capacitações e atualizações sobre o tema de forma contínua.

Abstract:
Objective: To evaluate the knowledge of nurses working at a University Hospital regarding the identification and classification of Pressure Injury (PI). Method: Cross-sectional study, with a quantitative approach, carried out with care nurses from a teaching hospital in Paraná. Data were collected using a questionnaire containing demographic and work characteristics, as well as the professional's knowledge about PI The dependent variable was knowledge about stratification of PI. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. Results: A total of 61 nurses were investigated, predominantly female (59.5%), aged between 20 and 29 years (64.7%), graduated more than 1 year (67.4%), belonging to the adult ICU staff (58.3%) and nurses in several residency programs in health (68.4%). Most reported knowing the means to notify (61.8%), made some notification in the last 30 days (64.9%), and of these notifications most did not answer how many were about skin lesions (54.8%). Still, most did not find difficulties to notify (70.0%), believed it was necessary a previous training to perform the notifications (60.3%), felt able to evaluate the PI (97.3%) and believed that the evaluation of PI was not the exclusive role of nurses (71.0%). Regarding knowledge about lesion stratification, the majority (60.6%) had total knowledge (100%), 16.4% had 80% of correct answers and 22.9% had less than 80% of correct answers, which were associated with the time of training and the ability to evaluate PI (p≤0.05). Conclusion: There is a deficit in the nurses' knowledge about the identification, evaluation and classification of PI. Evidencing the need for continuous training and updates on the subject.
