CONHECIMENTO DE ACADÊMICOS DE ENFERMAGEM SOBRE OS CUIDADOS PALIATIVOS À CRIANÇA COM CÂNCER: REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA.
Revisão integrativa que teve como
objetivo identificar evidências científicas
sobre o conhecimento de acadêmicos de
enfermagem a respeito dos cuidados paliativos
à criança com câncer. Foi feita uma busca por
artigos originais publicados nas bases de dados
PUBMED, SciELO, CINAHL e Web of Science
nos idiomas inglês, espanhol e português
no período de 2013-2017. A busca resultou
em 06 publicações para compor este estudo.
Os acadêmicos apresentam dificuldades em
reconhecer o que são cuidados paliativos e a
forma de atuação diante da criança com câncer
fora de possibilidade terapêutica. É relevante
a inserção do tema cuidados paliativos em
oncologia pediátrica na formação acadêmica
em enfermagem utilizando abordagem críticoreflexiva
com o propósito de aprimorar o
conhecimento dos acadêmicos, bem como
habilitar o futuro profissional no desempenho
desta função refletindo assim, em melhoria na
qualidade da assistência prestada à criança e
familiares.

Abstract:
Palliative care represents an
approach that aims to improve the quality of
life of patients and their families, thus, nursing
should assist the child in the integral, holistic and
interdisciplinary care model. Integrative review
aimed at identifying scientific evidence on the
knowledge of nursing students about palliative
care for children with cancer. A search was made
for original articles published in the PUBMED,
SciELO, CINAHL and Web of Science databases
in English, Spanish and Portuguese during the
period 2013-2017. The search resulted in 06
publications to compose this study. Academics
present difficulties in recognizing what palliative care is and the way of acting before
the cancer child outside of therapeutic possibility. It is relevant to include the topic of
palliative care in pediatric oncology in academic nursing education using a criticalreflexivacom
approach with the purpose of improving academic knowledge, as well as
enabling the professional future in the performance of this function, thus reflecting, in
improving the quality of care provided to the child and family.
