CONHECIMENTO DAS GESTANTES SOBRE O ALEITAMENTO MATERNO: ARTIGO ORIGINAL
O objetivo deste artigo foi descrever
o conhecimento sobre o aleitamento materno,
segundo a opinião das nutrizes usuárias
da atenção básica. Trata-se de um estudo
descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa,
realizado com 20 gestantes no período
do terceiro trimeste gestacional, de quatro
unidades básicas de saúde do município De
uma região do cariri, a partir da aplicação de
uma entrevista semiestruturada cujo os dados
foram submetidos a uma análise temática. Os resultados mostraram que as gestantes conhecem a importância do aleitamento
materno para nutrição e crescimento do bebê, promoção da imunidade. No entanto,
apresentam dificuldades na compreensão sobre a exclusividade do aleitamento até os
seis primeiros mêses, pega correta, posição do bebê, e cuidado com a mama durante
o aleitamento. É fundamental a presença dos profissionais de saúde, especialmente
o enfermeiro, com a presença de estratégias que permitam o acolhimento integral a
gestante, bem como orientação e apoio efetivos.

Abstract:
The objective of this article was to describe the knowledge about
breastfeeding, according to the opinion of the nursing users of primary care. This is a
descriptive study with a qualitative approach, conducted with 20 pregnant women in the
period of the third trimester of gestation, from four basic health units in the municipality
of the Cariri region, from the application of a semi-structured interview whose The data
were subjected to a thematic analysis. The results showed that pregnant women know
the importance of breastfeeding for nutrition and baby growth, promoting immunity.
However, they present difficulties in understanding the exclusivity of breastfeeding until
the first six months, the correct grip, the baby’s position, and the breast care during
breastfeeding. The presence of health professionals, especially nurses, is fundamental,
with the presence of strategies that allow the full acceptance of pregnant women, as
well as effective guidance and support.
