O tema central do trabalho se refere ao autoconhecimento fazendo um levantamento sobre como a procura pelo conhecimento pode levar à felicidade. Caracterizar autores e conceitos sobre a felicidade ao longo da história e investigar por que a busca pela felicidade tem sido ponto central no sentido da vida para a maioria das pessoas. Pretende-se também investigar se é possível identificar e quantizar a felicidade. A pesquisa será realizada pelo método bibliográfico. Pretende-se fundamentar a hipótese que a busca pela felicidade pode ser trilhada por diferentes caminhos e que a felicidade pode ser diferente para as pessoas dependendo de contextos históricos e socio-culturais ou questões da subjetividade de cada indivíduo.

Abstract:
The central theme of the work refers to self-knowledge by surveying how the search for knowledge can lead to happiness. Characterize authors and concepts about happiness throughout history and investigate why the search for happiness has been a central point in the meaning of life for most people. It is also intended to investigate whether it is possible to identify and quantify happiness. The research will be carried out by the bibliographic method. It is intended to support the hypothesis that the search for happiness can be traced in different ways and that happiness can be different for people depending on historical and socio-cultural contexts or issues of the subjectivity of each individual.
