Abstract: This article aims to emphasize the importance of studying Africanities in school spaces with children, since the role of the teacher is to bring discussions into the classroom that demystify a colonial model permeated in society. And the congado considered a religious cultural manifestation of Afro-Brazilian origin that takes place every year in the city of Uberlândia-MG emerged in the 19th century when the city was just a small town where enslaved black people held their festivities in secret due to the lack of freedom to practice your beliefs and traditions. However, with the end of slavery in 1988, black people were able to freely express their culture and religiosity. In view of this theme and the role of the black movement in enabling significant advances regarding "the inclusion of Afro-Brazilian history and cultures, following the example of the Education Guidelines and Bases Law (Law 9,394/96), as well as in the teaching of history and culture Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous, Law No. 10,639/2003, we are called upon to consolidate and give new meaning in the face of the establishment of the aforementioned laws, thus realizing an important advance in the anti-racist fight, providing opportunities for the expansion of knowledge and dialogue on the appreciation of African roots , alongside indigenous and Asian women, not limited to Black Consciousness Week.
