“CONFIE EM MIM!” - UMA BREVE ANÁLISE DA OBRA CINEMATOGRÁFICA “MEU MESTRE, MINHA VIDA”
O filme “Meu mestre, minha vida”,
mesmo datado de 1989, é um belo exemplo da
realidade atual de muitas escolas. E mediante a
história dramatizada pelo personagem Joe Clark,
o qual assume a direção de uma problemática
escola nos Estados Unidos, revelaram-se as
diferentes facetas do profissional da educação,
seja como professor ou diretor. Com uma
postura autoritária, Clark gere com pulso firme
e métodos pouco ortodoxos, dando atenção
primordial aos alunos e deixando sua equipe
escolar em segundo plano, especialmente os
professores, os quais estavam acomodados
em sua zona de conforto e pouco interessados
em buscar melhorias no processo de ensino
e aprendizagem. O perfil radical de Clark
enquadra-se na Teoria da Curvatura da Vara,
defendida por Saviani, sua aplicabilidade
nos momentos em que a vara está torta, pois
como ela fica curva de um lado, se você quiser
endireitá-la, não basta colocá-la na posição
correta, e sim curvá-la para o lado oposto. Clark
com seus métodos contraditórios consegue
reverter a situação de baixa qualidade no ensino
e principalmente os problemas de tráfico de
drogas e violência, e seus alunos são aprovados
no exame de verificação de desempenho
realizado pelo governo ao final de ano, atraindo
admiradores, como também muitos inimigos,
desde professores aos governantes. Assim,
com base no filme “Meu mestre, minha vida”,
o presente trabalho abordou temáticas que
compõem o ambiente escolar, tais como:
relações interpessoais, enfocando as diversas
facetas do professor; autoridade e autoritarismo;
metodologia; gestão escolar; fracasso escolar e
situação das escolas.

Abstract:
The film “Lean on Me” even dated 1989, is a fine example of the current
reality of many schools. And by the dramatized story for the character Joe Clark,
who takes the helm of a troubled school in the United States, have proved to the
different professional facets of education, either as a teacher or director. With an
authoritative stance, Clark manages with a firm grip and unorthodox methods, giving
primary attention to students and leaving his school team in the background, especially
teachers, who were accommodated in their comfort zone and little interested in seeking
improvements in process teaching and learning. The radical profile of Clark is part of
the Court of Curvature Theory, defended by Saviani, their applicability in times when
the stick is crooked, because as it is curved on one side, if you want to straighten
it, not just placed in the correct position, but bend it to the opposite side. Clark with
his contradictory methods can reverse the situation of poor quality in education and
especially drug trafficking problems and violence, and their students are approved
in the performance verification test carried out by the government at the end of the
year, attracting admirers, as well as many enemies, from teachers to the rulers. Thus,
based on the film “Lean on Me”, this study addressed issues that make up the school
environment, such as interpersonal relationships, focusing on the various facets of
the teacher; authority and authoritarianism; methodology; school management; school
failure and situation of schools.
