Abstract: With the expansion of industry and technology, there was a restructuring of labor relations, involving the increasing demand for freelance services, which are characterized by the absence of fixed ties between employee and employer. Within the context of more flexible relationships, the worker’s health and working conditions regarding lighting, sound, furniture, and comfort in the environment are often overlooked, creating a setting conducive to physical discomfort and the emergence of injuries in workers. To assist companies in adapting the workplace, Regulatory Standard 17 (NR17) was created, which contains recommendations for ideal working conditions in order to prevent health consequences for workers and ensure corporate accountability. Based on this, the research aims to assess the ergonomic aspects of a night club in Belém do Pará. This is a field research with a quantitative and qualitative approach and a cross-sectional design. Data collection was carried out using a "Protocol Form" created by the researchers, which was applied to 16 employees. Thus, the sample of the study was predominantly male, overweight, and actively consumed alcohol, cigarettes, or both. Regarding working conditions, 37.5% of workers fully agree that they experience a strong sensation of heat during their work period, 50% find the environment "very noisy," and 56.3% feel completely disturbed by the lighting of the place. Additionally, 25% report carrying heavy objects, along with variable reports of discomfort with the furniture. Therefore, the results of this study reveal important challenges related to working conditions and the health of workers, highlighting critical issues such as high consumption of alcohol and cigarettes, thermal and acoustic discomfort, inadequate lighting, and ergonomically incorrect furniture.
