Abstract: The concept of noise is subjective, which may vary depending on the occasion, for example, the sound emitted by a musical instrument can be pleasant or not, whether silence is necessary to perform any activity. From a psycho-acoustic point of view, noise can be defined as an unpleasant sound. The noise impairs any type of work and this was the theme of INAD 2024 (International Noise Awareness Day). This article addresses the acoustic conditions in classrooms and the health of teachers at different levels of education, the public and private sector. The theme can be used in high school or higher physics. In a constructivist teaching approach, it can be used as a problem situation, followed by teaching the foundations of acoustics. In a place where concentration and well-being are fundamental elements to achieve educational success, excessive noise have serious consequences to those involved. The methodology used was by applying a questionnaire using the Google Forms tool, containing nine questions. The results were analyzed and represented by sector graphs addressing the statistics of the answers. We prove that excessive noise from various sources is not only impairing teachers' hearing, but also their performance as a professional and communication. Naturally student health is also affected. Often these professionals need to move away from stress or exhaustion, among other health problems. This work aims to observe the influence of noise on classrooms and their impact on the teaching-learning process, aiming at improvements. The main obstacles observed by the teachers were found, as well as the various health problems reported. We have seen that, in general, schools and universities are not built taking into account the acoustic conditions. Thus, it is necessary to deepen the study of acoustics in teaching environments and possible solutions to this problem.
