Abstract: Objective: Determine the agreement between the Planas functional masticatory angle and the functional masticatory test to determine the chewing pattern in children treated at the CLAS Santa Adriana Health Center, 2022. Material and methods: non-experimental, comparative, prospective study, transversal, observational and analytical; quantitative method. The sample consisted of 54 children from 3 to 5 years of age, selected by non-probabilistic sampling for convenience. As an instrument to collect data on both variables, a validated observation guide was applied. Results: through the masticatory functional test; 40.74% of the children presented left unilateral chewing, 51.85% right unilateral chewing and 7.41% bilateral chewing. Through the functional masticatory angle of Planas; 37.04% of the children presented unilateral left chewing, 22.22% presented unilateral right chewing and 40.74% presented bilateral chewing. The chewing pattern had an agreement of 33.33% in children and the Kappa agreement coefficient was insignificant with k=0.0526. Conclusion: there is no significant agreement in the chewing pattern evaluated using the Planas functional masticatory angle and the functional masticatory test in children.
