Abstract: This work addresses some fundamental concepts of managing the quality of services provided by public transport systems. To complement the theory, practical applications of these fundamental concepts are presented in a public transport system, the Rio de Janeiro Metro, which uses quality indicators measured by quality opinion surveys, and measured by audit, to carry out management of quality of services provided to its passengers during its metro operation. The quality parameters measured by research and audits are presented and analyzed, together with the results obtained in the research and audit carried out during the month of September 2018.
