COMUNICAÇÃO E ARTE CRÍTICA - DOIS ARTISTAS, DOIS TEMPOS: GOYA E BANKSY
Há várias maneiras de refletir sobre o tempo e as relações sociais que nele se materializam. A arte, por sua vez, embora seja compreendida por muitos como uma mera manifestação estética, é igualmente um meio fulcral de escancarar as relações de poder e de criticar as instituições que detém dos mecanismos de controle e coerção sociais. Imbricam-se, neste caso, a arte e a crítica. Dois artistas dois séculos distantes - Goya e Banksy - são exemplos claros sobre o uso de uma mesma linguagem crítica, a arte engajada. Cada artista refletiu profundamente o seu tempo, seu contexto e, por meio de suas intervenções e vidas, mostraram que estética e política são, em última instância, uma coisa só.

Abstract:
There are several ways to reflect on time and the social relationships that materialize in it. Art, in turn, although it is understood by many as a mere aesthetic manifestation, is also a central means of opening up power relations and criticizing the institutions that hold the mechanisms of social control and coercion. In this case, art and criticism overlap. Two artists two centuries apart - Goya and Banksy - are clear examples of the use of the same critical language, engaged art. Each artist deeply reflected their time, their context and, through their interventions and lives, they showed that aesthetics and politics are ultimately one and the same.
