Abstract: This article analyzes the effect of an environmental education (EE) strategy implementation, which integrates Inquiry Based Learning (IBL) and SOLO taxonomy, on the pro-environmental behavior (PEB) of 108 students between 13 and 16 years old in a rural official educational institution located in the Meta department (Colombia). An empirical Integrated Simple Case study with descriptive scope and mixed, within-subjects methodological design is carried out, to evaluate the intervention impact. The blending between theoretical and empirical developments of IBL, SOLO taxonomy and PEB generates a fertile field for EE, achieving several success characteristics. Likewise, by being focused on carrying out pro-environmental actions, it increases their ease, consequently increasing their frequency of implementation. Also, PEB significantly increases in students with individual characteristics that implies lower values.
