Abstract: Reflecting the sheep industry productive and competitive, various technological alternatives have been presented, such as the use of supplementation. The objective of this research was to evaluate the behavior of Santa Inês sheep in massai grass pasture supplemented to 1% of body weight (BW), using two diets, one based on corn and soybean meal, and the other with full root cassava and soybean meal. 10 sheep Santa Ines in growth were used. The design adopted was completely 2 randomized with two treatments and five replications. There was no significant difference (p> 0,05) for the grazing activity, rumination, consuming water and bit rate, except for the offset. For grazing behavior, 24 h, there was no significant difference (p> 0,05) between the ranges of 3 in 3 hours, but there was a decrease of grazing in warmer times and demonstrated preferably eating habits daytime and night increased rumination. Supplementation with cassava did not change the behavior of grazing, rumination, displacement and water consumption, and bit rate, can replace corn without compromising the animal gain.
