COMPLICAÇÕES NA SALA DE RECUPERAÇÃO PÓS-ANESTÉSICA: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA

• Abstract: Introduction: The Post-Anesthetic Recovery Room aims to monitor, detect and treat possible complications in the immediate postoperative period. Objective: To describe, based on the literature, the complications that occur in the post-anesthesia recovery room. Materials and Methods: This is an integrative review, which was guided by the PICo anagram. Studies from the last 10 years were included, selected from the LILACS, BDEnf, PubMed, Google Scholar and SciELO databases. Results: A total of five publications were obtained, which were divided into two categories: 1- common complications in the post-anesthesia recovery room and 2- risk factors and associated complications. According to the articles analyzed, the main post- anesthetic complications include pain, hypothermia, desaturation, nausea, vomiting and hypotension. Conclusion: Complications in the PACU are influenced by preoperative clinical conditions, type and extent of surgery and effectiveness of treatments, and are preventable with adequate assessments and training.
