Abstract: The consolidation of a company is no longer solely related to the possibility of profit and straightforward profitability. When structuring and creating a company, the entrepreneur and the entire management team must keep in mind the necessary scopes for a commitment to the sustainable development of the locality where it is established, while also seeking to adopt a conscious use of natural resources. In this context, it is worth noting that Environmental Education (EE) can be understood as the means that guides individuals and society toward a sustainable construction of values, knowledge, skills, and attitudes aimed at pursuing the common good, capable of stimulating environmental conservation. The establishment of a company, therefore, must be aligned with the social demands that are so present and necessary for everyone today. In this sense, focusing on the business and environmental sectors, it is increasingly relevant to encourage the creation and maintenance of Junior Enterprises (JEs) within universities. These enterprises are characterized as non-profit civil associations, formed and managed by undergraduate students. It is important to emphasize that, within Junior Enterprises, students are often introduced and prepared for the labor market. This research aims to understand and analyze the role of the Junior Enterprises (JEs) of the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA) with regard to environmental issues in their projects and in the training of participants. It also seeks to correlate the importance of actions related to post-consumer reverse logistics with the initiatives of JEs, as a way of showing that this socio-environmental responsibility is connected with planning and the establishment of growth goals. Thus, the social responsibility of these enterprises is structured around a stronger connection with the construction of a more just, equal, and fair society for all. The methodology is based on qualitative research carried out through interviews with active members, participants of JEs, who voluntarily answered the questions, as well as through the analysis of statutes and documents. The results showed that the conduct of JEs has, in general, been aligned with the requirements of environmental causes, with these actions being recognized and enhanced throughout their development.
