Abstract: The present academic research has as main target analize the relationshst that exists between the family and Diocesano de Penedo/Al school. The porpousal of this study starts with the questions about the participation of the social service at the educational environment. Starting from this questions, they look for the potencialities and contradictions of the participation of the family at school. It brings a qualitative research that envolves biblografic; documental and outside research. Six enterview were realizes with teachers, students and relatives of the mentioned school. The results showed a demaged enovgh family – school relationship, where the first one seamed had no time enough to dedication to their children’s education; Transfering this work exclusivelly to the school. For the social service, the research empowers the necessity of the presence of the social assistents working in the educational politician, specifically at schools, by changing of the social reality which has created new fildes in the social service actuation.
