CLUBE DE CIÊNCIAS: RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIAS E IMPRESSÕES DOS ALUNOS
As primeiras experiências de
atividades do Clube de Ciências, no município
de Marabá, foram reportadas neste trabalho. Um
estudo comparativo foi realizado das impressões
sobre Ciências, de alunos oriundos de escolas
da rede pública, antes e após o ingresso no
Clube. Os encontros ocorreram quinzenalmente
com a participação de vinte alunos do 8º e 9º ano
do ensino fundamental. Nos encontros foram
promovidas discussões e contextualizações de
diversificados assuntos das Ciências Naturais.
No entanto, para a produção desse trabalho
levamos em consideração somente os relatórios
da primeira e última atividade do clube. O
modelo de análise adotado para sistematização
e interpretação dos dados foi o da Análise de
Conteúdo Temático. Neste estudo foi possível
evidenciar a ampliação da visão dos estudantes,
no que se refere à concepção de Ciência, após
o ingresso no Clube de Ciências. Assim, na
análise das impressões iniciais sobre Ciência,
foi evidenciado que 60% dos alunos vincularam
o conceito a pesquisas científicas, inovações
e descobertas e 40% destes limitaram suas
concepções à disciplina e matéria ministrada nas
escolas. Nas impressões finais sobre Ciência foi
possível constatar que a categoria “pesquisas
cientificas e inovação” não apresentou
alteração no percertual de incidencia, no
entanto, o surgimento de três novas categorias
foi observado: “experimentação” (25%)
contemplando resposta que relacionam a Ciência
com experiências, “visão antropocêntrica de
Ciência” (25%), referente a respostas que
abordam descobertas, pesquisas e estudos,
mas restrita a humanos; e “visão holística de
Ciência” (25%), referente à uma compreensão
dos fenômenos em sua totalidade, sem restrição
a aplicações específicas.

Abstract:
The initial activities of the Science Club from the city of Marabá–PA were
reported in this work. A comparative study was carried out with public school students
to evaluate their impressions on science before and after joining the club. The meetings
happened every 15 days with the participation of twenty elementary school students
from the 8th and 9th grades. Each meeting promoted discussions and contextualization
on a variety of Natural Science subjects. However, in this work, we only considered
the first and last reports of the activities performed. The model analysis used for data
systematization and interpretation was the Analysis of Thematic Content. This study
showed an expansion in the students’ view with regards to their concept of science after
joining the club. The initial analysis of their impressions showed evidence that 60% of
the students associated the concept of science with scientific research, innovations and
discoveries, while the other 40% limited it to a class and subject taught at school. In the
final analysis of their impressions on science, we noticed that the category “scientific
research and innovation” had no change in its percentage of incidence. However, three
new categories were observed: the “experimentation” (25%), which can be associated
with the answers that connected science to experiments; the “anthropocentric view
of science” (25%), which can be related to the responses that involved discoveries,
research and studies on humans; and the “holistic view of Science” (25%), which can
be associated with the total understanding of the phenomena without restrictions to
specific applications.
