Abstract: To reduce the use of nitrogen fertilizers in corn cultivation while maintaining high productivity, new alternatives have been studied, such as the use of plant growth-promoting microorganisms (PGPMs). Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of five bioinoculants formulated with PGPMs, applied simultaneously with nitrogen fertilization, on the total chlorophyll content in corn plants. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse at Embrapa Agrobiologia, located in the municipality of Seropédica, RJ. The experimental design used was a randomized block design with five replications and five treatments (Control: 50 mg N kg soil-1; Azo: 50 mg N kg soil-1 + Ab-V5 + Ab-V6; BiomaPhos: 50 mg N kg soil-1 + BiomaPhos®; Aprinza: 50 mg N kg soil-1 + Aprinza®; Fungus: 50 mg N kg soil-1 + Fungus; SP245/Herbasp: 50 mg N kg soil-1 + SP245 + Herbaspirillum seropedicae) and two soil types (Ultisol and Oxisol). At the end of the experiment, the total chlorophyll content in the corn plants was evaluated. Inoculation with MPCPs in the Ultisol promoted changes in the chlorophyll content in the corn plants. In both soil types used, inoculation with BiomaPhos® resulted in the highest chlorophyll content in the plants.
