Abstract: Big Data has become an essential tool in nursing practice due to its ability to quickly and accurately analyze large volumes of clinical information. Its use allows for the identification of risks, improved diagnostic accuracy, and enhanced monitoring of patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. It also facilitates epidemiological surveillance through the early detection of outbreaks of dengue, malaria, or respiratory infections, providing timely data that supports effective interventions. This tool has become a cornerstone of nursing practice, enabling the rapid and accurate analysis of large volumes of clinical information. Its implementation optimizes decision-making, improves clinical monitoring, and contributes to safer and more efficient care. This chapter analyzes how the integration of these technologies expands the capabilities of nursing staff through predictive tools and neural networks, facilitating risk identification, personalized care, and effective epidemiological surveillance
