Abstract: Organizational climate research has been conducted in large companies in the United States and Europe. In Mexico, studies are incipient. This study aims to identify the level of openness in the organizational climate of a restaurant company located in southeastern Mexico. The study is exploratory, descriptive, and quantitative. The results indicate a medium level of openness in the climate. This condition suggests the existence of authoritarian attitudes accompanied by a limited willingness to provide support on the part of management, which generates a low level of employee engagement. To foster the development and improvement of the company, it is suggested that management implement a more participatory work environment, prioritizing collaboration and avoiding the excessive use of authority. Therefore, the implementation of a program aimed at strengthening a participatory culture is recommended, with the goal of increasing employee engagement.
