Abstract: The pursuit of greater safety and quality in patient care has driven the adoption of innovative technologies in the hospital environment. Among these tools, Electronic Bedside Check-in stands out, a system that aims to ensure the correct administration of medications and procedures through the electronic identification of the patient and the responsible professional. This technology contributes significantly to reducing errors, increasing the traceability and reliability of care processes [10]. However, implementing electronic bedside check-in is not without its challenges. Issues such as resistance to change, the need for staff training, technological limitations, and adaptations to workflows require strategic planning and institutional commitment. On the other hand, the benefits associated with electronic check-in are numerous, including greater patient safety, improved risk management, and strengthened quality and audit practices [8]. Patient safety is a fundamental pillar of healthcare, and medication administration represents one of the most critical and error-prone processes. In this context, technological innovation has played a growing role in the search for solutions that minimize risks and optimize the quality of nursing care. Electronic bedside check-ins in nursing are emerging as one such innovation, transforming the way healthcare professionals interact with patients and clinical records [9]. Consequently, this study aims to analyze the main challenges faced in implementing Electronic Bedside Check-ins, as well as the benefits this practice offers for hospital care and management.
