desvantagens do ChatGPT®. Por fim, apresentamos as competências digitais que
professores e alunos precisam para usar este chatbot de maneira ética e eficaz para apoiar o
aprendizado de idiomas.

Abstract: In this article, we explore the possibilities of the ChatGPT® generative AI chatbot for language teaching and learning. In addition, we also present debates and disadvantages of ChatGPT®. Finally, we present the digital skills that teachers and students need to use this chatbot ethically and effectively to support language learning.
