CENTRO HISTÓRICO DE ARACAJU: LUGAR DE PERTENCIMENTO DO POVO ARACAJUANO
Este estudo abordou o turismo cultural enquanto fenômeno global e seu desenvolvimento utilizou elementos imprescindíveis como: pessoas, história, infraestrutura e a cultura. Seu objetivo geral foi evidenciar o centro histórico da cidade de Aracaju enquanto espaço turístico, baseando-se nos elementos existentes neste cenário que contribuem para a análise da transformação sócio espacial e cultural da localidade. Assim, foi realizado um levantamento bibliográfico acerca do conceito de lugar evidenciando o centro histórico de Aracaju dando ênfase á formação histórica e política da capital bem como os monumentos que cercam esse sítio histórico, além da paisagem natural representada pelo rio Sergipe e compreendida como parte da vida econômica da região. Esta pesquisa foi estruturada em três partes. Na primeira os elementos que contextualizam os aspectos do espaço geográfico. Na segunda os conceitos e as categorias de análise do estudo com base em autores que dissertam sobre Espaço, Lugar e os Elementos do Espaço, enfatizando seus conceitos. Na terceira realizou um apanhado sobre a cidade de Aracaju com ênfase no centro histórico urbano e seu patrimônio cultural enquanto sua utilização turística. Como resultado ficou evidente que o centro histórico é um catalizador de novas modalidades de aproveitamento do espaço urbano, no sentido de promover transformações no modo de reprodução da sociedade principalmente referente ao turismo cultural com seu potencial atrativo para atender a demanda local e visitantes. O turismo pode ser protagonista em melhorias enquanto atividade econômica associada a cultura, com elo de pertencimento do povo aracajuano com seu lugar.

Abstract:
This study approached cultural tourism as a global phenomenon and its development used essential elements such as people history infrastructure and culture. Its general objective was to highlight the historical center of the city of Aracaju as a tourist space based on the elements that exist in this scenario that contribute to the analysis of the local social and cultural transformation. Thus, a bibliographic survey about the concept of place was made, highlighting the historical center of Aracaju emphasizing the historical and political formation of the capital as well as the monuments surrounding this historical site, besides the natural landscape represented by the Sergipe river and understood as part of the city. economic life of the region. This research was structured in three parts. The first elements that contextualize aspects of geographic space. The second the concepts and categories of analysis of the study based on authors who dissert about Space Place and Elements of Space, emphasizing their concepts. The third, he made an overview of the city of Aracaju with emphasis on the historical urban center and cultural heritage while its tourist use. As result it was evident that the historic center is catalyst for new ways of making use of urban space in order to promote changes in the reproduction mode of Society regarding cultural tourism with its attractive potential to meet local demand and visitors. Tourism can be a protagonist in improvements as economic activity associated with culture with the Aracajuan people belonging to its place.
