CEARENSES OU PIAUIENSES? REFLEXÕES SOBRE IDENTIDADE NA VILA DE AMARRAÇÃO NO LITORAL DO PIAUÍ NO FINAL DO SÉCULO XIX
Este estudo teve como objetivo discutir sobre como as questões referentes a Identidade em Amarração tomam forma a partir do litígio entre a província do Piauí e do Ceará no final do século XIX. Como metodologia empregou-se a análise documental, a partir de fontes hemerográficas, cartográficas e do poder executivo, e a pesquisa bibliográfica, tendo como aporte expoentes da historiografia piauiense. Importa esclarecer que a questão da identidade se faz presente na situação analisada em face dos trechos das fontes hemerográficas transcritos evidenciarem a relação de pertencimento dos habitantes tanto de Amarração como do Vale do Crateús com as províncias do Piauí e Ceará, respectivamente. Assim, as disputas territoriais a partir da situação do litígio entre o Piauí e o Ceará no final do século XIX, influenciou na construção da Identidade das pessoas que moravam nestes espaços.

Abstract:
This study aimed to discuss how identity issues take shape on Amarração from the existing litigation situation between the province of Piauí and Ceará at the end of the nineteenth century. As methodological procedures, documentary analysis was used, based on hemerographic, cartographic and executive power sources, as well as bibliographical research, with contributions from Piauí historiography. It is important to clarify that the question of identity is present in the situation analyzed in view of the excerpts from the transcribed hemerographic sources, showing the relationship of the inhabitants of both Amarração and Vale do Crateús with the provinces of Piauí and Ceará, respectively. Thus, territorial disputes arising from the dispute between Piauí and Ceará in the late nineteenth century influenced the construction of the identity of the people who lived in these spaces.
