CAUSAS DE INTERRUPÇÃO DA TERAPIA NUTRICIONAL ENTERAL EM PACIENTES CRÍTICOS: UMA REVISÃO DE LITERATURA
A terapia nutricional enteral (TNE) é indicada quando o paciente apresentar risco de desnutrição, isto é, quando a ingestão oral for insuficiente e ainda contraindicada nos casos em que o trato gastrintestinal não está integro ou funcionante. A administração precoce da TNE, mesmo quando indicada, não é isenta de inconvenientes como, complicações mecânicas, gastrointestinais, metabólicas, respiratórias, infecciosas e psicológicas, situações que podem levar a interrupção da TNE. Para otimizar a administração da nutrição enteral (NE), o conhecimento e controle dessas complicações relacionadas à TNE, pela equipe multiprofissional são essenciais para resolução precoce dos fatores que interferem negativamente no fornecimento adequado de nutrientes. O objetivo do estudo foi descrever as principais causas de interrupção da TNE em pacientes críticos por meio de revisão de literatura. Foi realizado um estudo de revisão bibliográfica sistemática, do tipo exploratória com abordagem bibliográfica com análise e discussão. Ao longo do trabalho foi possível reconhecer as principais causas de interrupção da TNE e que estas não devem ser desconsideradas pela equipe multiprofissional.

Abstract:
Enteral nutritional therapy (ENT) is indicated when the patient is at risk of malnutrition, that is, when oral intake is insufficient and is still contraindicated in cases where the gastrointestinal tract is not intact or functioning. Early administration of ENT, even when indicated, is not free from inconveniences such as mechanical, gastrointestinal, metabolic, respiratory, infectious and psychological complications, situations that can lead to interruption of ENT. To optimize the administration of enteral nutrition (EN), knowledge and control of these complications related to ENT, by the multiprofessional team, are essential for the early resolution of factors that negatively interfere in the adequate supply of nutrients. The aim of the study was to describe the main causes of ENT interruption in critically ill patients through a literature review. A systematic bibliographic review study was carried out, of the exploratory type with a bibliographic approach with analysis and discussion. Throughout the work, it was possible to recognize the main causes of interruption of ENT and that these should not be disregarded by the multidisciplinary team.
