Abstract: Medical education poses challenges in the training of the student. It has been observed that problem-solving practices, as a clinical case resolution, can be a good integrator of different skills. Our objective is to propose the use of designed clinical cases and implement them during the first semesters of medical education as a collection of resources that include the use of scientific literature. It has been detected that students at the end of the subjects in the first semesters do not fully integrate the knowledge acquired. The integration of clinical cases seeks that they put into practice what they have learned and that they can identify the knowledge that is basic and useful to solve more complex problems. Also, the consultation of scientific literature gets the student close to research and cultivates an interest in these resources for their daily learning. The methodology of this teaching practice for medical education consists of three sessions: introductory, methodological, and presentation. The immediate results of these practices are the exercise of soft skills, the integration of knowledge, the promotion of scientific careers and other scientific products such as posters for congresses, authoring research articles, preparing surveys and infographics; as well as approaching investigation groups to make their contributions. With this practice, it is possible to integrate knowledge through the resolution of a clinical case and exercising teamwork, capacity for divulgation, and debate of its findings. These will be based on consultation of scientific information which will allow them to use it for other subjects and the rest of their university formation, as well as bring them closer to scientific work and apply it in their professional life.
