CARNAVAL E SAMBA NA EDUCAÇÃO ESCOLAR
O artigo resulta da pesquisa “Carnaval e Samba, enquanto afirmação da
identidade negra na República Velha” (2013), e teve como fio condutor a composição
musical “A voz do morro” (1955) de José Kéti e as bases teóricas foram aquelas
relacionadas ao contexto histórico no enfoque do tema. A pesquisa documental foi
avultada de entrevistas com diferentes atores que lidam com o carnaval e samba,
com atuação em diferentes espaços da vida social. No presente artigo, foram
acrescidas outras referências, de natureza interdisciplinar, considerando-se a
incompletude da temática. A relevância do estudo consiste em se poder trabalhar o
tema na política de educação e, em especial, na sala de aula.

Abstract:
This article is the result of the research “Carnival and samba, while black
identity affirmation during República Velha” (2013); its underlying theme is the song
“A voz do morro” (1955) by José Ketti and the theoretical bases were related to the
historical context on the theme focus. The documental research was improved by
interviews with different actors who deal with carnival and samba and also act in
different places of social life. In this article, other references with interdisciplinary
nature were added, considering the incompleteness of the theme. The relevance of
the study is to make possible to work the subject in education policy and, mainly, at
the classroom.
