Abstract: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a highly lethal malignancy, posing challenges for modern oncology. This study analyzed risk factors, prognosis, and recent therapeutic advancements. We identified that treatment resistance and quality of life impacts are critical challenges. Personalized therapy, combining immunotherapy and targeted therapies, proved essential for improving survival. Promising advancements, such as irreversible electroporation, offer new perspectives, although economic and accessibility barriers persist. We conclude that therapeutic innovation and a multidisciplinary approach are fundamental to optimizing HCC management.
