CARACTERIZAÇÃO MORFOLÓGICA DE FRUTOS E SEMENTES, E AVALIAÇÃO DA EMERGÊNCIA EM MATRIZES DE RAMBUTEIRA

O rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum L. - Sapindaceae), espécie frutífera originária do sudeste asiático, com ampla adaptação em clima tropical úmido, apresenta frutos tipo drupa com polpa esbranquiçada envolvendo as sementes. No Brasil é encontrado em cultivos comerciais nos estados do Pará e da Bahia. A diversidade genética existente entre as matrizes pode ser avaliada precocemente por meio da qualidade fisiológica das sementes, fornecendo informações para produção de mudas em escala comercial. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo realizar a caracterização morfológica de frutos, sementes e vigor de sementes em sete matrizes de rambuteira (Nephelium lappaceum). Foram avaliados frutos de matrizes de rambuteira estabelecidas no campo de fruteiras da Embrapa Amazônia Oriental, com as seguintes os seguintes nomes fantasias: Amarela; R-162; EAO-1; EAO-2; EAO-3; EAO-4; e EAO-5. Foram colhidos 50 frutos por matriz, em completo estágio de maturação. Logo após a colheita foi feita a caracterização morfométrica dos frutos e das sementes. Em seguida, o teste de germinação e avaliação do vigor das plântulas. O experimento foi conduzido em delineamento inteiramente casualizado. Com base nos resultados obtidos para a caracterização morfológica, pode-se concluir que as matrizes EAO-1 e Amarela apresentam frutos com características desejáveis, com as maiores massa do fruto e rendimento de polpa. Não houve diferença significativa para a emergência das plântulas entre as matrizes avaliadas.

  • Abstract: The Rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum L. - Sapindaceae), a fruit species originally from Southeast Asia, with wide adaptation in humid tropical climate, has drupe type fruits with whitish pulp surrounding the seeds. In Brazil it is found in commercial crops in the states of Pará and Bahia. The genetic diversity between the matrices can be evaluated early through the physiological quality of the seeds, providing information for the production of seedlings on a commercial scale. The present work has aimed to evaluate the morphological characterization of fruits and germination percentage of seven matrices of rambuteira (Nephelium lappaceum) seeds. Fifty fruits were harvested per plant, in complete maturation stage, being evaluated fruits of seven matrices established in the fruit field of Embrapa Amazônia Oriental, with the following research denominations. Yellow; R-162; EAO-1; EAO-2; EAO-3; EAO-4; and EAO-5. After harvesting the fruits, the physical characterization of the fruits was performed. Then, the germination test, emergence speed and seedling dry mass. The experiment was carried out in a completely randomized design. Based on the results obtained in this work for the morphological characterization, it can be concluded that the EAO-1 and Yellow matrices present fruits with desirable characteristics. There was no significant difference for the germination percentage in the seven rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum) matrices evaluated in the experiment.
