CARACTERIZAÇÃO E DIAGNÓSTICO AMBIENTAL DA CABECEIRA DE DRENAGEM DE DUAS NASCENTES LOCALIZADAS NA ALTA BACIA DO RIO PREGUINHO, MIRANTE DA SERRA- RONDÔNIA
A ocupação de áreas que apresentem maior susceptibilidade deve ser
conduzida considerando suas características, inter-relações e limitações. O objetivo
do trabalho foi caracterizar os componentes que afetam a disponibilidade e a
qualidade de água de duas nascentes inseridas na Alta Bacia do Rio Preguinho,
Mirante da Serra-RO, e elaborar o diagnóstico ambiental das cabeceiras de
drenagem destas nascentes afim de subsidiar ações para promover a manutenção
e uso sustentável dos recursos hídricos. Os procedimentos adotados para a
caracterização e elaboração do diagnóstico ambiental das cabeceiras de drenagem
avaliaram parâmetros de localização, meio físico, meio biótico e socioeconômico. Os
resultados obtidos denotam uma nítida diferença entre as áreas estudadas, quanto
aos aspectos do uso e ocupação do solo, vegetação predominante, o tipo e a
característica das nascentes, a qualidade d’água, seus usos e o estado de
conservação. Um mapa foi elaborado para descrever os principais usos do solo das
áreas analisadas. A situação identificada nas cabeceiras analisadas permite concluir
que o manejo relacionado ao uso e ocupação do solo foi determinante para a
definição das atuais situações. Visando contribuir com a gestão destes ambientes
recomendamos o desenvolvimento de ações de disseminação de informações, a
implantação de programas de educação ambiental, e a proposição de alternativas
de usos sustentáveis dos recursos naturais, especialmente do solo e da água.

Abstract:
The occupation of areas that present greater susceptibility should be
conducted considering their characteristics, interrelations and limitations.The
objective of this study was to characterize the components that affect the availability
and water quality of two springs inserted in the Rio Preguinho Watershed, Mirante da
Serra-RO, and to elaborate the environmental diagnosis of the drainage headwaters
of these springs in order to subsidize actions for promote the maintenance and
sustainable use of water resources. The procedures adopted for the characterization
and elaboration of the environmental diagnosis of drainage headwaters evaluated
parameters of location, physical environment, biotic and socioeconomic
environment. The results show a clear difference between the studied areas, about
the aspects of land use and occupation, predominant vegetation, the type and
characteristics of the springs, the water quality, their uses and the state of
conservation. A map was elaborated to describe the main uses of the soil of the
analyzed areas. The situation identified in the analyzed headwaters allows concluding
that the management related to the use and occupation of the soil was determinant
for the definition of the current situations. Aiming to contribute to a management of
these environments, it is recommended to develop information dissemination
actions, implement environmental education programs, and propose alternatives for
the sustainable use of natural resources, especially soil and water
