CARACTERIZAÇÃO DOS PARÂMETROS CIRCULATÓRIOS DA ARTÉRIA SUPRA TESTICULAR EM TOUROS JOVENS DA RAÇA ABERDEEN ANGUS
O objetivo do presente estudo foi
caracterizar os parâmetros circulatórios de
velocidade média do fluxo sanguíneo (VM),
índice de pulsatilidade (PI) e resistência (RI)
através do mapeamento ultrassonográfico
Doppler colorido, da artéria supra testicular em
touros jovens da raça Aberdeen Angus. Trinta
e três touros jovens da raça Aberdeen Angus,
hígidos, com bom estado corporal e idade
média de 24,0 meses foram submetidos ao
exame de ultrassonografia no modo Doppler
colorido para os testículos. Adicionalmente,
foram mensurados a frequência cardíaca
(FC), a temperatura retal (TR) e a temperatura
superficial do escroto (TSE), por meio de
termografia infravermelha. A VM apresentou
média de 13,8±4,77 cm/s. O valor médio
para PI e RI foi de 0,27±0,15 e 0,37±0,12,
respectivamente. A média observada para FC
e TR foi de 91,03±11,33 bpm e 40,13±0,54°C,
respectivamente. A média para a TSE foi
de 35,14±0,71°C. Foi observada correlação
significativa e positiva entre as variáveis PI x RI;
VM x TSE e FC x TSE. Para as demais variáveis
não houve correlação. Os valores apresentados
podem contribuir no futuro para detecção de
eventuais anormalidades, onde o sistema
Doppler pode fornecer informações para o
entendimento da termorregulação testicular
dos touros. Além disso, pode se tornar um teste
complementar para o exame andrológico.

Abstract:
The aim of the present study was to characterize the circulatory
parameters of mean blood flow velocity (MV), pulsatility index (PI) and resistance
(RI) by color Doppler sonography of the supra-testicular artery in young bulls of the
Aberdeen Angus breed. Thirty-three young bulls of the Aberdeen Angus breed, healthy,
with good body condition and mean age of 24.0 months were submitted to color Doppler
ultrasonography for the testes. In addition, heart rate (HR), rectal temperature (TR) and
scrotal surface temperature (TSE) were measured by means of infrared thermography.
MV presented a mean of 13.8±4.77 cm/s. The mean value for PI and RI was 0.27±0.15
and 0.37 ± 0.12, respectively. The mean observed for HR and TR was 91.03±11.33
bpm and 40.13±0.54°C, respectively. The mean for TSE was 35.14±0.71°C. Significant
and positive correlation was observed between PI and RI variables; VM x TSE and FC
x TSE. For the other variables, there was no correlation. The values presented may
contribute in the future to detect any abnormalities, where the Doppler system can
provide information for the understanding of the testicular thermoregulation of the bulls.
In addition, it can become a complementary test for the andrological exam.
