CARACTERÍSTICAS DO USO DE BENZODIAZEPÍNICOS POR PACIENTES ATENDIDOS NA UNIDADE DE SAÚDE DA FAMILIA DJALMA DE HOLANDA CAVALCANTE EM RECIFE-PE
Os benzodiazepínicos (BZD) são
drogas que agem diretamente no sistema
nervoso central, alterando aspectos cognitivos
e psicomotores. Estão entre as drogas mais
prescritas no mundo. Na atenção básica,
um dos desafios é a abordagem em saúde
mental dos pacientes portadores de transtorno
depressivo/ansioso ou ao portador de algum
sofrimento mental. Este trabalho tem como
objetivo identificar o perfil dos usuários de
benzodiazepínicos na atenção primaria e as
características de sua utilização. Trata-se de um
estudo descritivo de corte transversal e analítico,
com abordagem quantitativa, realizada por
meio de aplicação de um questionário adaptado
no período de três meses. Como resultados,
destacaram-se a faixa etária de 50 anos ou mais,
gênero feminino e, em relação à escolaridade,
o primeiro grau incompleto. Os medicamentos
mais usados foram o Clonazepam seguido do
Diazepam. A maioria dos pacientes afirmaram
serem dependentes da medicação, fazendo
uso de forma crônica, muitos por mais de 10
anos; e que já tentaram interromper o uso da
medicação, muitas vezes sem sucesso. Fazse
presente a necessidade de reorganizar o
processo de trabalho na instituição investigada,
de forma que se propicie uma adequação das
prescrições e um seguimento mais eficaz destas.
Conhecer o motivo pelo qual alguns pacientes
da USF Djalma Cavalcante de Holanda estão
fazendo uso de benzodiazepínicos e suas
principais características contribuirá para o
desenvolvimento futuro de trabalhos educativos
junto à comunidade, possibilitando assim a
diminuição do uso indiscriminado dessa classe
de fármacos.

Abstract:
Benzodiazepines (BZDs) are
drugs that act directly on the central nervous
system, altering cognitive and psychomotor
aspects. They are among the most prescribed
drugs in the world. In primary care, one of the challenges is the approach in mental
health of the patients with depressive / anxious disorder or to the patient of some mental
suffering. This study aims to identify the profile of benzodiazepine users in primary care
and the characteristics of their use. This is a descriptive cross-sectional and analytical
study, with a quantitative approach, carried out through the application of an adapted
questionnaire in the three-month period. As results, the age group of 50 years or more,
female gender and, in relation to schooling, the incomplete first degree were highlighted.
The most commonly used drugs were Clonazepam followed by Diazepam. Most
patients reported being dependent on the medication, making use of chronic, many
for more than 10 years; and who have tried to stop using the medication, often without
success. It is necessary to reorganize the work process in the investigated institution,
in order to allow an adaptation of the prescriptions and a more effective follow-up of
the prescriptions. To know the reason why some USF patients Djalma Cavalcante de
Holanda are using benzodiazepines and their main characteristics will contribute to the
future development of educational work in the community, thus enabling the reduction
of the indiscriminate use of this class of drugs.
