• Abstract: Fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS) clearly affects cognitive and behavioral characteristics and the development of the carrier child. At the In this chapter, a literature review was carried out in the narrative format, using descriptors and search in research databases for discussion of the theme. In this discussion, it is concluded that people with FAS may demonstrate poor attention span, concentration among other cognitive skills. As for the behavioral aspects may develop the presence of hyperactivity, difficulty in controlling impulses, conduct involving theft and robbery, lying, bribery and oppositional behavior.
