Abstract: This research is part of the master's thesis, linked to the research line “Training Processes, Childhood and Youth”, of the Postgraduate Program in Education at FCT/UNESP – Campus de Presidente Prudente/SP, which took on as the central object of investigation of the body movement of young children, which takes place in the experiences of CAPOBRINCANTE, which consists of a playful capoeira that, through playfulness, brings together elements of musicality, culture, history and bodily experiences of the art present in this modality, to meet children in early childhood. This research was based on the perspective of Human Motricity with a focus on embodied science, a methodology that deals with an autobiographical narrative based on a lived experience, together with a group of children from kindergarten I and kindergarten II of a private school in the city of Pirapozinho/SP who weekly experience the practice of CAPOBRINCANTE as a curricular component in Early Childhood Education. Therefore, the present research aimed to analyze the importance of CAPOBRINCANTE for the development of children in Early Childhood Education in a private school and reflect on the practice of capoeira as a school content in Early Childhood Education. Through my incarnated historicity as a teacher and researcher, it was verified that this modality is a place of meeting, of sharing bodily experiences, in addition to stimulating and developing, in young children, a being of totality, that is, a being that feels, expresses, interacts, imagines and learns.
