CAPACITISMO: diversidade nas escolas e na sociedade
Atualmente, muito se discute sobre a inclusão de todos os alunos nas escolas regulares. Entretanto, muitas barreiras ainda precisam ser derrubadas. Dentre os diversos desafios para a inclusão, discutimos o capacitismo que é entendido como uma ideia que considera a pessoa com deficiência como incapaz de realizar atividades ou tomar decisões por si mesma. O pensamento capacitista menospreza a pessoa com deficiência, considerando-a como menor ou menos importante. Historicamente, aprendemos a segregar o que consideramos diferente e isto não foi diferente com as pessoas com deficiência. Mesmo com a legislação respaldando a permanência nas escolas, as pessoas com deficiência, muitas vezes, são vistas apenas através de seus laudos médicos. A maneira como vemos a deficiência está relacionada com a forma de tratamento social e influencia às escolhas de métodos e estratégias de ensino e aprendizagem. Dessa forma, o objetivo deste trabalho é explorar os conceitos sobre capacitismo no contexto escolar e instigar a compreensão e discussão sobre o assunto. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica com abordagem qualitativa realizada inicialmente nas bases de dados SciELO, no Catálogo de Teses e Dissertações da CAPES e consultas em palestras e minicursos disponíveis online sobre o tema. Esperamos que os assuntos, brevemente comentados neste trabalho, incentivem as discussões sobre o tema. Além de aguçar o debate sobre metodologias de ensino e aprendizagem e a organização do ambiente escolar voltadas para a inclusão de todos os alunos.

Abstract:
Currently, much is discussed about the inclusion of all students in regular schools. However, many barriers still need to be overcome. Among the various challenges for inclusion, we discuss capacitism, which is understood as an idea that considers desabilities people as incapable of carrying out activities or making decisions for themselves. Capacitist thinking despises disabilities people, considering them minor or less important. Historically, we have learned to segregate what we consider different and this was no different with disabilities people. Even with the legislation supporting the permanence in schools, disabilities people are often seen only through their medical reports. The way we see disability is related to the form of social treatment and influences the choice of teaching and learning methods and strategies. Thus, the objective of this work is to explore the concepts of capacitism in the school context and instigate the understanding and discussion on the subject. This is a bibliographic research with a qualitative approach, initially carried out in the SciELO databases, in the CAPES Catalog of Theses and Dissertations and consultations in lectures and short courses available online on the subject. We hope that paper, briefly discussed in this work, encourage discussions on the subject. In addition to sharpening the debate on teaching and learning methodologies and the organization of the school environment aimed at the inclusion of all students.
