CÂNCER DE MAMA: SENTIMENTOS E RESSIGNIFICAÇÕES DA VIDA SOB O OLHAR DA MULHER EM QUIMIOTERAPIA
O estudo objetivou conhecer os
sentimentos de mulheres com câncer de
mama em quimioterapia acerca da vida após o
diagnóstico de câncer. Trata-se de um recorte
da pesquisa “Experiências diagnósticas e
quimioterápicas de mulheres com câncer de
mama”, realizada em abril de 2013, em um
hospital de referência em cancerologia, em
Fortaleza-CE. Estudo qualitativo, descritivo,
do qual participaram 21 mulheres com câncer
de mama, idade igual ou superior a 18 anos
e que realizavam quimioterapia pelo SUS. Os
dados foram coletados por meio de formulário,
observação assistemática e entrevistas
semiestruturadas orientadas pelas próprias
narrativas, a partir da questão: “Conte-me
como você descobriu que estava com câncer
de mama”. Predominaram mulheres de 40 a 59
anos, católicas, casadas ou em união estável,
com pelo menos um filho, Ensino Fundamental
incompleto, trabalhadoras do lar e residentes
no Ceará. A percepção acerca de si, da doença,
de seu contexto social e da vida depende do
modo como a mulher encara a realidade e lida
com estigmas e do momento que vivencia nesta
trajetória. A equipe de saúde deve compreender
os aspectos subjetivos que permeiam o câncer
de mama para atuar de forma humanizada,
preparar as mulheres para o enfrentamento da
doença e contribuir para a desconstrução dos
estigmas que envolvem o câncer de mama.

Abstract:
The study aimed to know the
feelings of women with breast cancer doing
chemotherapy about life after the diagnosis
of cancer. It is part of a larger study entitled
Diagnostic and Chemotherapeutic Experiences
of Women with Breast Cancer, performed in
April 2013 in a hospital considered a reference
in cancerology located in Fortaleza-CE. It was
a qualitative, descriptive study carried out with
21 women with breast cancer, aged 18 years ou
older and who underwent chemotherapy by the
Unified Heath System. The data were collected
through form, assistematic observation and
semi-structured interviews guided by the
narratives themselves, bases on the question: Tell me how do you discovered you had breast cancer”. Most participants were women
between 40 and 59 years old, Catholics, married or in a stable union, with at least one
child, incomplete Elementary School, domestic workers and residents in Ceará. The
perception about oneself, the disease, its social context and its life depends on the way
woman faces the reality and the stigmas and depends on the moment she experiences
in this trajectory. The health team must understand the subjective aspects related to
the breast cancer in order to act with humanization, prepare women to face the disease
and contribute to the deconstruction of the stigmas that involve breast cancer.
