CAMINHANDO EM DIREÇÃO DO TRANSCULTURALISMO EM TERRA PAPAGALI
O artigo objetiva analisar, sucintamente, a obra Terra Papagalli, de José Roberto Torero e Marcus Aurelius Pimenta, sob o viés da "transculturação narrativa", teoria cultural desenvolvida pelo crítico uruguaio Ángel Rama, segundo a qual, elementos como linguagem, cosmovisão e estrutura da narrativa se mostram fundamentais para a compreensão de um texto como obra transcultural. O trabalho investiga se a obra em tela apresenta os elementos representativos que a caracterizem como romance que segue um processo transculturador. Para tanto, o artigo recorre às contribuições de Darci Ribeiro, no tocante ao impacto dos processos de miscigenação e aculturação nas relações sociais, de Antônio Cândido, em relação ao papel da literatura na afirmação do sentimento nacional e ideológico da intelectualidade latino-americana, na discussão da conscientização da condição colonial dos países do continente sul-americano. Utiliza-se a contribuição de Fernando Ortiz com respeito ao processo de fusão cultural em que as partes envolvidas (culturas distintas) sofrem transformações significativas ao longo do tempo.

Abstract:
The article aims to analyze, briefly, the book Terra Papagalli, from José Roberto Torero and Marcus Aurelius Pimenta, under the vies of "transcultural narrative", a cultural theory developed by Uruguayan literary critic Ángel Rama, according to which, elements like language, cosmo vision and narrative structure reveals to be fundamentals to comprehension of a text as a transcultural work. The research investigates if this book presents representative elements that could characterize it as a romance that follows a transcultural process. To achieve its aims, article recurs to the contributions of Darci Ribeiro, about the impact of miscegenation and acculturation on social relations between colonizers and colonized into Brazilian colonial system. Antonio Candido's statements contributes about the role performed by literature in affirmation of national and ideological feeling of Latin-American intellectuality, on the discussion of conscience of colonization condition of the countries of South-American continent. Also is examined the ideas of Fernando Ortiz concerning to the process of cultural fusion in which both involved parts (distinct cultures) suffers profound transformations along time.
