BORBOLETAS (LEPIDOPTERA: PAPILIONOIDEA) DA RESERVA PARTICULAR DO PATRIMÔNIO NATURAL ESTAÇÃO VERACEL, PORTO SEGURO, BAHIA
A Mata Atlântica do sul da Bahia é reconhecida como uma área de alto endemismo e grande diversidade de espécies, entretanto, o conhecimento sobre a sua riqueza de borboletas é incipiente. Nesse mesmo contexto, encontramos a maioria das unidades de conservação brasileiras. Dessa forma, o presente trabalho tem o objetivo de apresentar uma lista de espécies de borboletas de uma área no Corredor Central da Mata Atlântica, a Reserva Particular do Patrimônio Natural Estação Veracel, município de Porto Seguro, Bahia, Brasil. As coletas ativas com rede entomológica foram realizadas ao longo de trilhas preexistentes na reserva entre maio de 2019 e abril de 2020, com um esforço amostral de 144 h. Para a coleta passiva de borboletas frugívoras foram utilizadas armadilhas Van Someren Rydon entre outubro de 2019 a março de 2020, totalizando 90 dias de amostragem. No total 235 espécies foram registradas, sendo Nymphalidae a família mais rica com 79 espécies, seguida de Hesperiidae (73 spp.), Riodinidae (42 spp.), Lycaenidae (30 spp.), Pieridae (9 spp.) e Papilionidae (2 spp.). A família Hedylidae não foi registrada. A maioria das espécies registradas é generalista típica de áreas abertas. Entretanto, espécies de distribuição mais restrita foram encontradas, como Tarsoctenus papias (Hewitson, 1857) e Euselasia kartopus Stichel, 1919, ambos são novos registros para a região Nordeste, assim como outros táxons de Hesperiidae, Riodinidae, Nymphalidae e Lycaenidae.

Abstract:
The Atlantic Forest in the south of Bahia is considered an area of high endemism and great diversity of species, however, the knowledge about its richness is incipient. In this context, most of the Brazilian conservation units are found. The present study objective to produce a checklist of butterfly species from an area on the Atlantic Forest central corridor, the Private Reserve of Natural Heritage Estação Veracel, municipality of Porto Seguro, Bahia, Brazil. The samples with entomological net were carried along trails pre-existents in the reserve from May 2019 to April 2020, totaling 144 hours of sampling effort. Fruit-feeding butterflies were sampled by using Van Someren Rydon traps from October 2019 to March 2020. A total of 235 species was recorded, being Nymphalidae the richest family with 79 species, followed by Hesperiidae (73 spp.), Riodinidae (42 spp.), Lycaenidae (30 spp.), Pieridae (9 spp.) and Papilionidae (2 spp.). The family Hedylidae was not recorded. Most of the recorded species is generalist, typical of open areas. However, species of range of distribution more restrict too were found, such as Tarsoctenus papias (Hewitson, 1857) and Euselasia kartopus Stichel, 1919, both new records for the Northeastern Brazil, as well as many other taxa of Hesperiidae, Riodinidae, Nymphalidae and Lycaenidae.
