Abstract: Brazilian agribusiness is one of the most solid economic segments with a high capacity to generate wealth and contribute to reducing social and regional disparities. The segment gained prominence and relevance during the health emergency and its production chain is responsible for 25% to 30% of the country's Gross Domestic Product. The bioeconomy applied to agribusiness represents an opportunity to replace fossil and non-renewable resources with renewable sources and to solve practices that combine biodiversity with animal protection and decarbonization. To this end, we aim to analyze the main challenges of agribusiness in the Amazon as a driving force for sustainable development and the Amazon Bioeconomy. This is a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive research, using secondary material of bibliographic and documentary origin with data and content analysis. The bioeconomy in Brazil has the potential to improve the entire agribusiness chain: production of food, fiber, energy, provision of environmental and ecosystem services, green chemistry and new inputs, as well as the search for innovative and sustainable solutions.
