BIOCLIMATIC DIAGNOSIS FOR ORANGE PRODUCTION VALENCIA IN THE CITY OF ERECHIM – RS
A pesquisa teve como objetivo realizar o diagnóstico ambiental sobre as condições climatológicas do município de Erechim-RS, para a produção da laranja Valência (Citrus sinensis (L.) OSB.), utilizando-se os dados climatológicos fornecidos pelo Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia no período de 2008 a 2017 (temperaturas máxima, média e mínima do ar, umidade relativa do ar e precipitação). Os valores de precipitação (médias mensais de 160,2 a 168,6 mm) e umidade relativa do ar (73%) ficaram um pouco acima das exigidas pelas plantas, com temperatura do ar (20,1 °C) abaixo da ideal, mas favorecendo o desenvolvimento das plantas e a polinização, portanto o clima dessa região é parcialmente propício para ao cultivo da laranja Valência, necessitando de correções no campo de cultivo para maximizar a produção.

Abstract:
The research aimed to carry out the environmental diagnosis on the climatic conditions of the municipality of Erechim-RS, for the production of the Valencia orange (Citrus sinensis (L.) OSB.), Using the climatological data provided by the National Institute of Meteorology in the period from 2008 to 2017 (maximum, average and minimum air temperatures, relative humidity and precipitation). The precipitation values (monthly averages from 160.2 to 168.6 mm) and relative humidity (73%) were slightly above those required by the plants, with an air temperature (20.1 °C) below the ideal, but favoring the development of plants and pollination, therefore the climate of this region is partially conducive to the cultivation of Valencia orange, requiring corrections in the field of cultivation to maximize production.
