Abstract: Tenecteplase is a fibrinolytic drug used in acute coronary syndrome with ST segment elevation, as reperfusion therapy of coronary vessels in acute myocardial infarction. Acute myocardial infarction is a coronary disease in which the electrocardiogram reading with ST segment elevation is performed in the clinic, reflecting the pathological effect of the impairment of blood flow in the coronary arteries that carry nutrition and oxygen to the heart muscle. One of the procedures for returning blood perfusion to the coronary arteries is medication, which is now used in the reperfusion technique. As in the coronary arteries, perfusion of the vessels is essential for the nutrition of organs and tissues, therefore, its use has been widespread in revascularization procedures in general, especially in noble organs and arteries of great importance. The objective of this review was to analyze the benefits of Tenecteplase in the use in revascularization or reperfusion procedures. A search for previous studies was carried out on the PubMed, BVs and Cochrane Library platforms and a total of 23 scientific articles were included after applying exclusion and inclusion criteria. During the analysis, it was observed that the most commonly used procedures were stroke, coronary artery disease and thrombosis. In conclusion, it is important that the professional performing the reperfusion is able to perform the procedure using the most convenient drug available in the hospital structure.
