BENEFÍCIOS DO METODO CANGURU EM RECÉM-NASCIDOS PRÉ-TERMO
O método canguru é uma técnica que viabiliza o contato pele a pele entre mãe e bebê e vem sendo utilizada como estratégia humanizada para o recém-nascido baixo peso. Prática simples e com tecnologia complementar ao cuidado dentro de uma UTI neonatal visa vantagens no desenvolvimento do prematuro e fortalecer relações entre a tríade bebê/família e equipe. Este trabalho buscou verificar através de evidências científicas os benefícios do método canguru ao recém-nascido pré-termo.Trata-se de um estudo exploratório, por meio de uma pesquisa bibliográfica descritiva com busca em bases de dados da Scientific Eletronic Library Online (Scielo) e Literatura Latino Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (Lilacs) através de acesso live pela Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde (BVS), compreendendo o período entre 2005 e 2016. A análise dessa atenção humanizada ao recém-nascido de baixo peso – Método Canguru não substitui incubadoras e tecnologias, mas se apresentou como uma “metodologia salvadora de baixo custo” e estratégia de qualificação do cuidado neonatal. Os benefícios ao recém-nascido pré-termo são inúmeros, como promover melhorias no desenvolvimento cognitivo, afetivo e fisiológico, reduzir a mortalidade infantil desta população alvo, reduzir tempo de internação e risco de infecção, favorecendo o convívio e vínculo familiar.

Abstract:
The kangaroo method is a technique that enables skin-to-skin contact between mother and baby and has been used as a humanized strategy for low weight newborns. Simple practice with technology complementary to care in a neonatal ICU aims at advantages in the development of premature babies and to strengthen relationships between the baby / family and team triad. This work sought to verify through scientific evidence the benefits of the kangaroo method to preterm newborns. It is an exploratory study, through a descriptive bibliographic search with search in databases of the Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo) and Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (Lilacs) through live access through the Virtual Health Library (VHL), covering the period between 2005 and 2016. The analysis of this humanized care for low weight newborns - Kangaroo Method it does not replace incubators and technologies, but has been presented as a “low-cost saving methodology” and strategy for qualifying neonatal care. The benefits to preterm newborns are innumerable, such as promoting improvements in cognitive, affective and physiological development, reducing infant mortality in this target population, reducing hospital stay and risk of infection, favoring family life and bonding.
