BASE DE DADOS TEXTUAL JURIDOCS: FERRAMENTA PARA O ENSINO DE LÍNGUAS ESTRANGEIRAS NA ÁREA JURÍDICA / JURIDOCS TEXTUAL DATABASE: TOOL FOR THE TEACHING OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES IN THE LEGAL FIELD
O nosso estudo teve como objetivo principal a criação de uma base de dados textual - Juridocs - como recurso didático para o ensino das línguas para fins específicos na área jurídica.
Tendo em consideração a evolução das linguagens especializadas e o crescente número de documentos que surgiram nos últimos anos com o fenômeno da globalização e com o mercado aberto, particularmente no espaço europeu, na área jurídica, os trabalhos sistemáticos e sistematizados relacionados com o estudo da linguagem jurídica têm surgido como uma necessidade crescente para resolver os problemas dos profissionais, sobretudo ao nível da área da tradução, da lexicografia especializada e no campo do ensino das línguas estrangeiras para fins específicos.
A reflexão que aqui apresentamos pretende dar a conhecer a organização e as potencialidades de utilização da base de dados textual jurídica JURIDOCS (Legal Textual Database) como um recurso / ferramenta para o ensino das línguas estrangeiras, nomeadamente para o ensino do português e do espanhol jurídico. A mesma foi testada no âmbito do projeto PETALL - Pan European Task Activities for Language Learning, en el Exploitation and Dissemination Plan (Ação 30, anexo 7) permitindo a extração de terminologia, a análise da caracterização do texto jurídico, a diferenciação dos textos normativos dos outros tipos de textos no campo jurídico, servindo como um recurso que pode ser usado no âmbito da aprendizagem por tarefas.
O objetivo desta ferramenta é explorar a relação sistemática entre sistemas conceptuais, as terminologias e tipologia dos textos que tanto servem aos professores de língua para fins específicos na área jurídica, mas também tradutores, juristas, estudantes e investigadores, e outros profissionais, já que a base de dados concentra uma série de funcionalidades que permitem o manuseamento, utilização e pesquisa de textos reais num único local.

Abstract:
The main objective of our project was the creation of a textual database - Juridocs - as a didactic resource for the teaching of languages for specific purposes in the legal area.
Taking into account the evolution of specialized languages and the growing number of documents that have emerged in recent years with the phenomenon of globalization and with the open market, particularly in the Europe, in the legal area, systemic and systematic research works related to the study of legal language have emerged as a growing need to solve the problems of professionals, especially in the area of translation, specialized lexicography and in the field of teaching foreign languages for specific purposes.
The analysis presented here shows the organization and the potential of using the legal textual database JURIDOCS as a resource / tool for the teaching of foreign languages, namely for the teaching of Portuguese and legal Spanish. It was tested within the scope of the PETALL project - Pan European Task Activities for Language Learning, in the Exploitation and Dissemination Plan (Action 30, annex 7) allowing the extraction of terminology, the analysis of the characterization of the legal text, differences between normative texts and other types of texts in the legal field, serving as a resource that can be used within context of a task-based approach.
The purpose of this tool is to explore the systemic relationship between conceptual systems, terminologies and textual typology that will be of great help for teachers of languages for specific purposes in the legal field, translators, lawyers, students and researchers, as well as other professionals working in the legal field. The database concentrates a series of functionalities that allow the handling, use and search of real texts in a single place.
