BANCO DE DENTES HUMANOS: UM RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA
O Banco de Dentes Humanos desempenha importante papel ético e legal, pois visa eliminar o comércio ilegal de dentes e valorizar o elemento dentário como órgão. Objetiva-se relatar a experiência vivenciada do funcionamento do BDH da Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa (BDH-UEPG), destacando as leis que doutrinam, a importância para o ensino e pesquisa in vitro, a fim de estimular a implementação de novos BDH. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, do tipo relato de experiência, o qual foi desenvolvido a partir da vivência dos professores e alunos envolvidos com o BDH-UEPG, no âmbito da pesquisa in vitro e atividades práticas laboratoriais pré-clínicas. O BDH conta com um rígido regulamento de procedimentos internos, desde a arrecadação de dentes, limpeza, estocagem e preparo dos elementos segundo as necessidades de ensino e pesquisa. Este proporciona a organização dentro da instituição no quesito de regularizar a entrada e saída de dentes humanos, bem como reduz a infecção cruzada que seria promovida pelo uso indiscriminado de dentes extraídos. Conclui-se que o BDH propôs a articulação para o caminho ético, legal e da biossegurança, a fim de colaborar com a prática do ensino superior na construção de habilidades e condutas pertinentes ao cirurgião dentista, visto que a prática, usando meios o mais realista possível, capacita o profissional odontólogo a promover a assistência com qualidade.

Abstract:
The Human Teeth Bank – HTB plays an important ethical and legal role, as it aims at eliminating the illegal trade in teeth and enhance the dental element as an organ. The purpose to report the experience of the operation from the HTB at the State University of Ponta Grossa (HTB – UEPG), highlighting the laws that indoctrinate it, the importance for teaching and researching in vitro, in order to stimulate the implementation of new HTB. This is a descriptive study, an experience report type, which was developed based on the experience of teachers and students involved with HTB-UEPG, in the context of in vitro research and pre-clinical laboratory activities.HBT has a strict regulation of internal procedures, from the collection of teeth, cleaning, storage and preparation of the elements according to the needs of teaching and researching. This provides organization within the institution in terms of regularizing the entry and exit of human teeth, as well as reducing the cross infection that would be promoted by the indiscriminate use of extracted teeth. it is concluded that the HBT proposed the articulation for the ethical, legal and biosafety path, in order to collaborate with the practice of higher education in the construction of skills and conduct relevant to the dental surgeon, since the practice, using as realistic as possible, it enables the dental professional to promote quality care.
