“BAIXOU A 1140 AQUI?” DIFERENÇAS E DISTINÇÕES NAS PRAIAS GAYS DE COPACABANA E IPANEMA
Este trabalho apresenta breve análise
da pesquisa para a obtenção do título de mestre
pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências
Sociais (PPGCS) da Universidade Federal
Rural do Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ). A pesquisa
foi feita de 2013 a 2015 em dois trechos de
praias da cidade do Rio de Janeiro “amigáveis”
a homossexuais: a Bolsa de Valores, em
Copacabana, e a Farme, em Ipanema. O estudo
pretendeu analisar as relações entre homens
gays nessas praias e as tensões criadas a
partir de diferenciações que alimentam disputas
territoriais e simbólicas, influenciadas por
mudanças socioeconômicas e de infraestrutura
urbana na cidade. Tais distinções são
caracterizadas por interseccionalidades entre
diversos marcadores sociais da diferença. Se o
corpo é o mais aparente deles, devido ambiente
praiano, há ainda outras categorias sociais de
diferenciação que afetam tais relações, como
gênero, classe social, geração, raça, origem e
mesmo local de moradia.

Abstract:
This work presents a brief analysis
of the research to obtain the master’s degree
by the Graduate Program in Social Sciences
(PPGCS) of the Federal Rural University of Rio
de Janeiro (UFRRJ). The research was done
from 2013 to 2015 in two sections of beaches
in the city of Rio de Janeiro that are “friendly”
to homosexuals: Bolsa, in Copacabana,
and Farme, in Ipanema. The study aimed to
analyze the relationships between gay men in
these beaches and the tensions created from
differentiations that fuel territorial and symbolic
disputes, influenced by socioeconomic
and urban infrastructure changes in the
city. Such distinctions are characterized by
intersectionalities between several social
markers of difference. If the body is the most
apparent of them, due to the beach environment,
there are still other social categories of
differentiation that affect such relations, such
as gender, social class, generation, race, origin
and even place of dwelling.
