AVALIAÇÃO E COMPARAÇÃO DOS MÉTODOS DE SOMMERFELD E OCVIRK PARA MANCAIS HIDRODINÂMICOS RADIAIS
Este trabalho apresenta um estudo sobre mancais hidrodinâmicos, no qual foram abordados assuntos referentes a elementos de maquinas como lubrificação, teoria de lubrificação, bem como os modelos que podem ser adotados e seus respectivos funcionamentos. Foram apresentadas as resoluções dos problemas pelos métodos de Ocvirk e Sommerfeld, para mancais curtos e longos, respectivamente, através da determinação da relação do mancal de entrada como sendo largura por diâmetro igual a 1, na qual os dois métodos seriam eficientes. Foi feita a comparação dos resultados de ambos os métodos posteriormente, alterando a largura dos mancais, observando-se a convergência e divergência entre os valores de Sommerfeld e Ocvirk em determinados intervalos.

Abstract:
This work presents a study of bushing hydrodynamic, in which were addressed issues related to machine elements as lubrication, lubrication theory and models that can be adopted and their related workings. They were presented the resolutions of the problems by methods Ocvirk and Sommerfeld, for short and long bushings, respectively, by determining the bushing whit ratio width per diameter equal 1, where the two methods are efficient. Was made the comparison of the results of both methods posteriorly, change the width of the bearings, observing the convergence and divergence between Sommerfeld and Ocvirk values at certain intervals.
