Abstract: The limitations of contact and movement of people imposed to control the new coronavirus pandemic (SARS-COV-2) impacted people's daily lives in different ways, whether at work, leisure, social interaction and activities of daily living. The fear of contagion contributes to increased stress, excessive eating and drinking, and physical inactivity. Physical activity is an important tool for controlling comorbidities directly related to the worsening condition of those infected with Covid-19. Therefore, we evaluated the physical activity profile of the adult population in the Minas Gerais forest, in order to contribute to public policies to promote health and quality of life. It’s expected that the population is negatively affected in their levels of physical activity, especially females and people in unfavorable socioeconomic conditions. It’s expected that the reduction in physical activity levels has been more prevalent among less active people in the pre-pandemic period and that it has favored weight gain in the entire affected population.
