AVALIAÇÃO DOS COMPORTAMENTOS DOS MORADORES DE UM SETOR DE PALMAS – TO E AS POSSÍVEIS RELAÇÕES COM O DESCARTE DO LIXO NO MEIO AMBIENTE
Nas últimas décadas, impactos ambientais tem sido resposáveis por diversas alterações, como a degradação da natureza, causando a transformação da paisagem e comprometendo o ecosistema, ocasionando uma forte influência na saúde da população. Fernades (2004) considera que as alterações do meio ambiente são oriundas de diversas causas. No entanto o crescimento da população e migração desta para a zona urbana tem intensificado o processo de modificação ambiental, podendo o consumismo ser uma dos responsáveis. O presente estudo visa investigar o comportamento quanto ao decarte do lixo no meio ambiente por parte dos moradores de setor de Palmas – TO, assim o mesmo é de cunho quanti-qualitativo e tem por objetivo averiguar os possíveis fatores que possam influenciar estes comportamentos. Para obtenção dos dados foi utilizado um questionário semiestruturado não validado. Os dados mostraram que os comportamentos das pessoas mais velhas podem influenciar os mais jovens. Outras respostas mostraram que estamos propricios a adotar determinados comportamentos quando estamos em grupo, este vem de encontro com a Teoria das Massas. A partir dos resultados foi traçado o projeto de intervenção conforme a demanda do setor.

Abstract:
In the last decades, environmental impacts have been responsible for several changes, such as the degradation of nature, causing the transformation of the landscape and compromising the ecosystem, causing a strong influence on the population's health. Fernades (2004) considers that changes in the environment come from several causes. However, the growth of the population and its migration to the urban area has intensified the process of environmental modification, with consumerism being one of those responsible. The present study aims to investigate the behavior regarding the disposal of garbage in the environment by the residents of the sector of Palmas - TO. Thus, it is of a quanti-qualitative nature and aims to ascertain the possible factors that may influence these behaviors. To obtain the data, a semi-structured, non-validated questionnaire was used. The data showed that the behaviors of older people can influence younger ones. Other responses were that we are in a position to adopt certain behaviors when we are in groups. This comes up against the Mass Theory. Based on the results, the intervention project was designed according to the sector's demand.
