AVALIAÇÃO DO USO DA HOMEOPATIA NA REDUÇÃO DO ÍNDICE DE MASTITE SUBCLÍNICA E NO AUMENTO DA IMUNIDADE EM GADO LEITEIRO
A mastite bovina afeta ao redor de 90% das propriedades leiteiras de média e alta produção no país, levando uma perda de 10 a 30% por lactação. Com o custo de tratamento cada vez mais elevado e a crescente preocupação com a presença de vestígios de antibiótico no leite, os produtores têm buscado novas opções profiláticas e terapêuticas para intervenção desses animais. É nesse cenário que a homeopatia, por ser uma alternativa aceita internacionalmente, vem ganhando espaço no mercado brasileiro. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar o efeito de produto homeopático, na redução do número de animais com mastite subclínica no rebanho, e sua influência na concentração de células sanguíneas. Para tanto, foram utilizadas 19 vacas holandesas em lactação, durante 4 meses. Os animais receberam diariamente 50 gramas por indivíduo do produto homeopático misturados à ração durante a alimentação da manhã. Para avaliação da eficácia do produto na redução da mastite subclínica no rebanho, e sua influência nas células do sangue dos animais, foram realizados CMT, CCS e hemograma. Os resultados do CMT e CCS sugerem que a formulação utilizada foi eficaz tanto na diminuição da intensidade quanto na prevenção da mastite subclínica. Na análise do hemograma, observou-se que não houve influência da formulação utilizada no número de leucócitos. Conclui-se que a formulação utilizada foi eficaz na diminuição dos casos de mastite subclínica na propriedade e não levou a alterações no hemograma.

Abstract:
Bovine mastitis affects around 90% of medium and high production dairy farms in the country, leading to a loss of 10 to 30% during lactation. Due to the increasingly higher cost of the treatment and the great concern about traces of antibiotic in the milk, the producers have sought new prophylactic and therapeutic options for intervention on these animals. In this scenario, homeopathy, for being an internationally accepted alternative, has been gaining ground in the Brazilian market. The present work aimed to evaluate the effect of homeopathic product on the reduction of the number of animals with subclinical mastitis in the herd, and also its influence on the concentration of blood cells. For this study, 19 Holstein cows in lactation were used during 4 months. Each individual was given 50 grams of the homeopathic test product daily, mixed with the feed during the morning feeding. In order to evaluate the product effectiveness in reducing subclinical mastitis in the herd as well as its influence on the blood cells of the animals, CMT, CCS and CBC were performed. The results of the CMT and CCS suggest that the formulation used was effective in reducing the intensity and also preventing subclinical mastitis. No influence of the formulation on the number of leukocytes was observed during the CBC analysis. In conclusion, the formulation used was effective in the reduction of subclinical bovine mastitis cases in the farm and did not lead to changes in the CBC.
